This Is A Really Good Deal But Will It Be Too Cold ?

Price is obviously a huge factor when booking and cruise or holiday, so looking through the deals on our website £ 599 per person for a 10 night cruise looks like a really good deal. A look at the itinerary though might make you think it`s a bit cold in this region in December.

P&O`s Aurora is one of her much loved older, smaller by today`s standards, ships. This itinerary sets sail on 6th December 2017 and calls at Hamburg, at 2 day stop in Copenhagen, Olso, Amsterdam and Zeebrugge for Brussels and Bruges. The weather will probably be quite chilly and maybe even some snow but, in my opinion, that will just make all these places look lovely with a real seasonal feel. The Christmas markets should be in full flow and one of the main reasons for visiting this region at this time of the year.

Hamburg landmark Wasserschloss

Aurora joined the P&O fleet in 2000 and carries around 1850 passengers and 850 crew. She has all the facilities of larger cruise ships but being a bit smaller means she can easily negotiate her way into ports like Amsterdam.

Hamburg is connected to the North Sea by the River Elbe. Germany`s second largest city and biggest port is crossed by hundreds of canals, a little bit like Amsterdam. One of Germany`s wealthiest cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2015. One of the cities that welcomed the Beatles in their early days it still has a thriving music scene in its harbourside venues, along with wonderful restaurants. In December there will be a really good Christmas market to visit.

Bruges 2

I love Amsterdam and Bruges and both are well worth visiting even if you`ve been many times before.

Oslo harbor and city hall

Oslo is the capital of Norway and has a bit of everything, museums, culture, restaurants and nightlife, it is also surrounded by countryside so great for walkers, hikers and even skiing.

Colorful houses in Copenhagen old town at sunset, with boats and ships in the canal in front of them.

Copenhagen, capital of Denmark, is ranked as the happiest city in the world! The locals say it is because of its cosiness, but it could have something to do with its cobbled streets, pastel houses and candlelit cafes.

So get your winter woollies out ad grab this little gem of a cruise before it disappears !
