This Has Nothing To Do With Cruises !

I love September, its the time of year when I always feel ready for a break from work. The last 2 weeks have been lovely and next week I am heading off again to Norfolk for  a holiday with my girly friends and Rowan my beloved dog.

Talking of Rowan he is such a superstar! Our village had their annual fete last week. It does take place every year but the dog show is only every other year, so this was Rowan`s first chance to enter. We put him in 3 classes, Most Handsome Dog, Basic Obedience and The Dog the Judge Would Most Like To Take Home.

Well I am so proud to say he won ! The Most Handsome Dog Class and he has a beautiful red rosette.

Last weekend it was a trip to North Wales for one of my best friends daughter`s 18th birthday party, boy that makes me feel old ! They have a lovely house near to Ruthin which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a really pretty town surrounded by hills. Help was needed as around 40 people were to descend on the house on Saturday evening for the bash, which had a pink theme. It was a really good evening and everyone had a brilliant time, especially the birthday girl!

It`s been a very busy couple of weeks so now its time for some rest and relaxation. On Friday the girls and Rowan will head off to my favourite part of England, North Norfolk and the village of Thornham. We have rented a lovely cottage fro a week so that we can do lots of walking , shopping and visiting some of the many good restaurants in the village. Rowan always loves going to the beach and Brancaster is his favourite, with long stretches of golden sand he starts to run like a mad thing as soon as his feet touch the sand.

I will be away from the office until 3rd October, then its back to work and, dare I say it, Christmas will be soon with us!
