The New Regent Voyager

Regent Seven Seas have always been consider a luxury, six star Cruise Line. The new ship, Regent Explorer, is hailed as the most luxurious ship at sea today and it seems she is definitely living up to her reputation.

A few years ago I was lucky enough to sail on Regent Voyager and I can honestly say she was lovely. Spacious cabins with huge bathrooms, fabulous food, great staff and, of course, an all inclusive ship so everything was taken care of once you got on board. There was a feeling of space and very understated luxury.

The arrival of a new ship always make the older sisters look a touch tired so the news that Regent  Voyager is to undergo a huge refurbishment at the end of October is really no surprise. She will be in dry dock for 25 days whilst the work is done. She is to be given an upgrade to match the style of Explorer. Explianed in Regent`s company statement  “feature the same elegant style and indisputable attention to detail famously featured on Seven Seas Explorer, providing guests with a consistent look-and-feel, no matter which Regent Seven Seas Cruises ship they choose to sail.” That has to be really good news for Regent fans, and an obvious way to make sure all the ships get the same attention from potential clients. Regent Navigator has already had her makeover and Mariner, the other ship in the fleet, will follow in 2017.

BARCELONA

The suites on the all balcony Voyager will be given a new look as will all the public areas and restaurants. The suites will have marble bathrooms and new artwork in the lounge areas. The Compass Rose main restaurant will be redesigned with stunning chandeliers while Chartreuse, a modern French restaurant, will replace Signatures. The Voyager lounge on deck 4 will get a new look including a black and white marble bar.

DUBAI

Voyager will reappear on 9th November for the annual Regent Reunion cruise sailing from Barcelona to Dubai, something to really look forward to.
