It’s Holiday Time!

The sun is shining, at last, at least it was yesterday, and hopefully, it will last into next week as I am off on holiday! Since the arrival of my boy Rowan the lurcher my travelling has been curtailed a bit, but this year I have 3 or 4 things planned already, as long as Rowan is happy staying with his girlfriend Amber and her mummy.

Next week he is coming with us as we are off to one of my favourite places in Britain, Norfolk. Staying in a little cottage in the village of Thornham this will be a week of walking on the beach, a little retail therapy and some lovely food. I`m sure the time will pass really quickly so good to have something else to look forward to. A long weekend in Manchester with girlfriends is my next trip and then, at the end of May my first cruise this year on the lovely Azamara Journey.

I will fly to Nice for an overnight stay at the little hotel Monsigny. I know that area of France well as my friends have an apartment in Cannes but it will be good to see a bit of Nice before setting sail the next day. Journey will sail to Ibiza, Mahon, Palma and Barcelona on a four night cruise, my only disappointment is that the departure before this one took in the Monaco Grand Prix! Journey is a great ship and I am really looking forward to being on her again.

In September I am off to the Norwegian Fjords on Celebrity Silhouette. Sailing from Southampton for 8 nights there are 2 sea days and 6 ports of call. I am travelling with my best friend and we`ve treated ourselves to a lovely balcony cabin and also the Flam railway excursion which is a must for anyone visiting that part of Norway. So I`m away from Friday and will back in the office on Monday 30th April
