A Very Affordable Mini Suite

Your choice of cabin on a cruise must be one, if not the, most important things to consider when booking your holiday.

If you have never cruised before, and your budget is limited, the start off with an inside cabin. What do I get in an inside cabin ? is a very common, and good, question. I think inside cabins are more about what you don`t get more than what you do, as they are almost always exactly the same as outside cabins but you don`t get any daylight at all, unless you count the TV screen for a bit of virtual reality outdoors !

An outside cabin will give you the same facilities as an inside but with lots of natural light and, in my experience and outside cabin with an obstructed view gives almost as good daylight as a clear view. Obstructed view cabins also tend to be a bit higher up and in the middle of the ship so a good position.

Then of course we move to balconies, outside space lots of lights and larger cabins – more expensive too of course. I had a lovely balcony cabin on Ventura at New Year and well worth the extra just to have fresh air whenever you want it .

A mini suite is the nest step up and, as yet, I haven`t had one on any cruise ! These are usually much larger, with a lovely sitting area and upgraded amenities, quite often larger bathrooms too. The price though will be higher too so if you’ve always fancied booking a mini suite but the cost has stopped you now is your chance!
