JUST FOR FUN

For all you wildlife junkies out there.

Have you ever seen a Lesser Spotted Cruise Connoisseur or LSCC as I will refer to them as?

A what? I hear you say.

Here are some of the defining features. Take a read and see if you can remember seeing one before.

At Check-in:

The LSCC arrives with their luggage already tagged in special luggage tag holders and their boarding Passes in hand. They then bypass the queue and head for the VIP lane or to the nearest staff member to get their VIP entry.

They then proceed to security and after staring down the poor guy trying to photograph them as they board they are gone in the blink of an eye and up on deck with a cocktail in hand before the rest of us have got to the check in desk.

Round The Pool:

The LSCC love their gadgets. Firstly they will have the obligatory waterproof cover for their phone and of course the latest in gadgetry the solar powered charger so they can surf to their hearts content from their front row sunbeds without losing power.

The coffee machines are on the deck and they have the travel coffee mug to make good use of this free beverage. Never to be seen sporting the freebie drinks mug that came with the drinks package as this is just not done in LSCC society.  In addition they will have the Towel clips so the towels do not blow away whilst they take a dip to cool off.

Whilst reading they will have the latest kindle offering or if they prefer the paper method a clear wind and splash proof book cover.  Whilst relaxing in the hot tub and conversing with other lesser mortals they will always have got the cheapest price even if you won your cruise and paid nothing, so best to drop it before the conversation even gets started.

In the Cabin:

Again the LSCC like gadgets and order so you will find lots of space organising paraphernalia, like multi point plug and charging adaptors, organisers hung on the back of the bathroom door if they are really savvy they will have their magnetic hooks which stick to most cabin walls being made of metal in case you did not know.  They will also have integrated well with the locals being instantly on first name terms with the cabin staff having name dropped a few senior Names from the cruiseline first to ensure they get all the attention and extras they need.

Out and About:

You can always spot the LSCC as they will have the lanyard with their cruise pass in its little leather pouch to show everyone that they have top status.

The staff around the Ship will always refer to them by their first names as if they are old friends and the bar tender will know their drinks order before they even get a chance to sit on the stool.  They are often Frequent visitors to the Guest relations area and can often be seen in heated discussion about various aspects of their trip.

Entertainment

These canny cruisers know that you need to get to the show early to get that front row so they will be knocking on the doors at least one hour before the performance starts to make sure they get there. They will be the ones who always manage to get their picture taken with the stars and at the cocktail parties will be stood conversing with the Captain.  They will win the quiz 9 times out of 10 as they have been on so many cruises there are not enough questions for them not to have already heard them. In addition some but not all can be heard making strange noises which some have thought to be mating calls or ritualistic in nature in the Karaoke Bar.

So now you have the basics.  Have you ever spotted one before?

Love to hear your thoughts.
