Anthem of the Seas is here!!

Tomorrow is the maiden voyage of Royal Caribbean’s newest ship to their join ever expanding fleet….Anthem of the Seas. I have to say I’m very jealous of my colleagues who are lucky enough to be on board as we speak. Photos are coming through and I have to say they are looking good! The word I keep seeing is WOW! Anthem of the Seas promises big things for Royal Caribbean and it seems this ship is already living up to huge expectations!

So what can we expect from this new and innovative ship….what will be the highlights be? The words that spring to my mind reading about Anthem and all she has to offer are unique, exciting, amazing!! Sometimes when I think about just what is on board this ship it’s hard to actually believe it’s possible….but Royal Caribbean have made the impossible possible and I think that’s what’s going to make Anthem of the Seas such an amazing success! This week I thought I would look at my favourite concepts on board.

The Bionic Bar….this is the place where a Robot ..yes a robot will mix you cocktail for you! I’ve watched some of the video footage and the robots arms seem to dance to the music behind the bar whilst making your favourite cocktail. Now I do love a good cocktail and this bar would be on top of my list to try out!

North Star…..this is where the viewing pod will take you up, up and away and you will get the most amazing views out to sea and land. Now as much as I love the look of the North Star I’m not sure with my head for heights I would try this….although it does look like an experience not to be missed whilst on board!

Rip Cord….this is where you can try sky diving at whilst at sea. I’ve chatted to customers in the past where they have said they weren’t sure a cruise was for them as they would be bored…not enough things to do…well Royal Caribbean have certainly challenged this. SeaPlex…this is the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea, here you can try bumper cars, roller skating and take part in the circus school complete with flying trapeze classes!

The dining experience on board Anthem is going to be a new and exciting one….with such a huge choice of new restaurants! To name but a few there will be Jamie’s Italian, Wonderland, Chic, The Grande….the list goes on and with the new Dynamic dining and Classic concept being introduced I’m looking forward to hearing all about it.
