Taking your own wheelchair won't be a problem. There may be days when you are in a tender port when they will not let you take it because of the rough seas but most of the times they will load a folded up chair onto a tender and in port there is no problem. You should be able to use it, if you want to, all over the ship as well. If you are flying to your destination make sure that you airline knows that you will be using your own wheelchair and they will make special arrangements for you are give you the correct seat on the plane.. .......Neil

I am very worried as I am disabled with one leg. I need to know deffinately whether I can go on a trip such as Rome and taking along my own scooter, which is a small one that can either be laoded in one peice or be taken apart in three sections. What happens now, I can not climb into a coach, but could go via a taxi, but that would be approx £50.00 more than the cost of a trip. On board the ship I have no fears as there are special cabins with walk in showers, and wider doors for a wheel chair.

There are certainly many people who use motorised scooters on ships and ashore but you should really check with your cruise line to see what the capablilities and restrictions are both onboard and ashore. ..... Neil
