DOLAN - Answered a Question by O'Sullivan (10 Jun 08 21:23)

We have just returned from our wedding at sea on the Sea Princess and from start to finish it was absolutely perfect! We used the Wedding Experience too and they were extremely well organised- every detail I asked for was provided and more! Our wedding coordinator Anya on the ship was marvellous- hope she is still there for you but I heard she was leaving but her replacement was shadowing her for our wedding organisation and he was efficient too. The Captain was lovely and we even went on the Bridge for the Wedding photographs. We opted for the wedding photographer and videographer on the ship and they were excellent too. I can say without hesitation that the day was absolutely wonderful and I am sure your wedding will go smoothly- Enjoy it and many congratulations! If you would like any more details just post your email address on here and I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

Hello. My fiancee and I are thinkng about a wedding at sea later this year for just the two of us but really are not sure where to begin. Can anyone advise us on the following? 1. Which cruise lines offer weddings at sea? 2. How much should we expect to pay? Wanting to book in the next 3 months so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for that - it has certainly put my mind at rest as heard some bad reports of the Wedding Experience. Our wedding will be very simple though - its just the two of us, no guests so not a lot to go wrong really. Thanks for taking the time to answer and I`ll certainly take you up on your offer if we have more questions nearer the time.

I am considering getting married next year on the Princess, there will only be about 10 in my party, so how much did it cost you all in. Your wedding day sounded lovely by the way .

Hi we got married 2 year ago on the grand princess, there was just the 2 of us and it was fantastic nothing was to much hassle for the staff and our wedding coordinator would have changed anything if we asked.we got married on a sea day so everyone was formal on the nighttime,so with my wife in her wedding dress she felt like the belle of the ball.i would do it all again tomorrow.

No problem- I only had 5 in my wedding party- son, daughter and her fiancee- numbers are no problem- its really nice because all the passengers love a wedding and they all congratulate you as you go round the ship- you will get an invitation to the Captains Circle cocktail party- free cocktails I hear- we didnt go because the timings conflicted- I am sure you will have a wonderful time!

Hi there. how good of you to help reassure people like myself who are about to embark on the wedding at sea experience! I have read a few dissapointing reports re the cruise but you have now restored my faith! Can you tell me what the actual room you got married in was like please? Will it be the Library as we are not having a private function room. Also where did you dine afterwards and was it very costly if it was booked direct with Princess Weddings? We've been told we cant pre-book any tables untill boarding but would really like all 14 of us to be seated together. We sail on the 11 April and get married 12 April. Thanking you for your time in answering.

Land vs Water

By Jill Johnson

“Cruising is so expensive” – This is something that comes up in conversation from time to time especially new to cruising people, I always point out the pros & cons of both, but thought it may be a good idea to show you the advantages of cruising as opposed to Land holiday and have chosen the destination of – Hawaii. –  CRUISE; based on 7 nights the ship NCL Pride of America and the itinerary is the round trip Hawaiian cruise and includes a one ni...

Hawaii FIVE O!!!!!

By Drew Lazarus

Drew Lazarus's blog

Hey! Back again with some more world cruise ports and pics! I think the shot above (the whale breaching the ocean) says it all. So whilst on tender duty in Lahaina , assisting passengers get ashore, I was fortunate enough to witness this through a tender boat window. I still look at the picture and think WOW!!! This was of course the high light of the day for me. There were a number of many different varieties of whales that were not shy and for want of a better word were parading around the...
