Not been with Thomson but went in June 2004 Land of the Midnight Sun with Fred Olsen on the Black Watch. One of our best cruises. Chilly at night so you need a jacket and fleeces for the days ashore but when we came back our daughter said you dont get a suntan past the Arctic circle, but we did! Seas were very smooth, cant say what weather will be like for your cruise but you really should enjoy it. Scenery spectacular. Have a wonderful cruise.

Hi we went to the Fjords in August 07 it was pretty chilly, the lecturer on the ship said it was coming into their winter?? the snow was however starting to for on the mountain tops. Do remebr that you are usually sightseeing/walking so can keep warm. Hope this helps, it is a spectacular place don't forget your camera and lots of film (If not digital) Get a good spot to view entering the Fjords and prepare to be amazed at the sheer beauty.

Went on the trip to the North cape in June 2006 with Thompson on the Celebration it was brilliant! You will need to take fleeces as it can be chilly at night, we had had quite good weather on this trip. A good advantage with being on the celebration, they have good staff, good food, excellant first class shows, but most of all the captain is Norwegian calls himself the BBC his name is Larrsonn, he was originally trained as a pilot,so he knows the seas around Norway, and he can turn the ship around on a sixpence, you will be quite safe with him, he also has a great sense of humour. So hope this is of some use to you. Enjoy .

I’ve just returned from my own holiday sailing around the Eastern Med with Royal Caribbean on board Jewel of the Seas from Rome.Everything went extremely well and I would definitely sail on board her again .From check in at Manchester Airport to getting on board was stress free.On arrival in Rome we collected our luggage and Royal Caribbean reps were there at every point to guide you where to go. Cases were dropped off at the airport door for RCI to take to the port for us whilst we m...
