Crystal cruise is of the owner of Japanese firm Nippon Uesen Kaisha. The ships have this notable feature that all Crystal’s large and airy cabins have design, structure and interior all done on basis of feng-shui, an authentic and traditional, Eastern art for its interior design which is actually done to generate positive energy around and keep the balance of Yin and Yang. http://www.cruise360.net/

Not the ideal time, hence the prices. ............ hurricane tracking is exceptionally good, when one is heading your way, the ship will divert to avoid it. Something which unfortunately hotels tend not to do :-) .............. good possibility of your itinerary being changed on-the-hoof but if you're not fussy about which islands you visit, a big saving may be worthwhile ............. We have been in South Florida, on the Keys '08 when Paloma blew and in Fort Lauderdale'09 when Ida stung the Atlantic area a bit. Both these were in the first week of Nov. The official hurricane season lasts until 30th Nov. That saying, a ship can skirt the areas affected. We would not choose to cruise the caribbean until Jan/Feb because of this.

The worst period for hurricanes is last two weeks in August and first 2/3 in September so whilst no guarantee can be given it should be fine. The one thing a cruise ship can do that an island can't and that is to move out of the way and usually 14/20 hours is sometimes enough but yes there could be some heavy rain and rougher waters, but hopefully you will miss these....Bill

We normally do the Caribbean end of Oct/Nov because as you say prices are cheaper and the Hurricane season is coming to a close. We've only had one rough passage and that was on the last night coming back into New York, so by that time the cruise was all over anyway..........Good Luck .......Wilba
