BLYTH - Answered a Question by Coulthurst (23 Jan 09 14:59)

On of our frineds did this trip in 2007 in June and had a great time but the Atlantic can be a bit of a problem weatherwise many do it and its great others have several days of really bad waether. We did Miami to Southampton in September and had 2 really bad days, luckily we are good sailors and were OK but quite a few rarely ventured out of their cabins. The hurricane season runs from July to October and sometimes into November and this can have an adverse effect on the Atlantic weather. I must admit I prefer no more than 2 days at sea as I like to see places and not just the sea, but there is always plenty of activity orgnanised on these trips, but it is not the same.

Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by Coulthurst (23 Jan 09 20:12)

Trouble is that Cunard uses the northern route across the pond and that is often cold and so unprrrredictable. You can get some fine weather but often not especially April. ...... Neil.
