The ship sort it for trips will need if going out of main sharm el sheikh resort. trips are quite long and you will walk a long long way in petra be warned not for faint hearted or anyone with mobility problems. coach trip to luxor is 14 hours in total but can do over two days if prefer but pay for hotel stay as part of trip the trips are well organised but as said before you will need a second week ashore to recover - but sights well worth it consider nile river cruise - they are quite relaxing but boats obviously dont have the facilities afforded by thompson .

I think you will find if you do the organised trip from the ship you do not need a visa. We have done Chiro Luxor and Petra and we did not require a visa. Do take a good credit card as the trips are very expensive. I dont think you will find a trip under £50 and Luxor was over £70 but so worth doing. You will need a holiday to get over your holiday. Best way is to do it more than once and do one each trip or have a second week in Shalm.
