Check to see if you are going to any other Chinese Port as you may need to get a double entry ticket. We did this in March. You can take it yourself up to London it is on Holborn Viaduct, sif you get off at Chancery Lane turn right towards the City stay on the Right hand side then as come to the bridge the Chinese Visa place is on the Right. You drop it off one day, having made an appointment on line and completed the forms, and then you pick it up four days later. This may have changed. When we were in Bejing we found out that since the olympics you can get a metro to the Great Wall. WE went to a different part of the wall so I cannot tell you how easy it is. Which hotel are you staying at here?

Depends what you mean by "China". If its Hong Kong UK passport-holders don't need a visa, if Beijing then very probably you do. Paul is right about time-scale - short-notice visas incur a significant extra cost. .......Chris

Most definitely, but your TA should be sending you all this information well before the cruise. Depending on when your trip is you should not leave it too late to arrange for your visa.
