Unless you speak fluent Russian you'll need to book an excursion in St Petersburg. This will appear expensive until you take into account that a visa would cost around £80 (depends on exchange rate at the time). I'm not aware of any other visa requirements and most ports are easy to DIY. Have a good time. Judith

Your question is a bit brief but if visiting St.Petersburg yes unless you do the ships excursion or use one of the local tour operators like Alla then you don't but these two ways are the best recommendations for visiting here other areas not aware of any problems needing visa's but see if anyone else contributes further...Bill
