we have just come back from a thomson stay & cruise staying in sharm and we definitely didn`t need a visa unless you go to cairo or luxor

About 20 mins by Thomson transfer coach, included in fly/cruise ticket price. ........... Coach is direct with no stops. This means you don't need to buy a visa at the airport if going direct to the ship on the transfer coach, regardless of any erroneous advice from Thomson or your T/A. You do need a visa if you're on a stay-and-cruise, not sure if you need one at the end of your cruise if you're on a cruise-and-stay. .... But you will have to collect your luggage from the carousel. ........... Chris

Cruise and stay people were called to reception to discuss visas, though you don't need one if you're staying on the Sinai peninsula. We went stay/cruise, and didn't have to buy one at the airport, as we were staying on Sinai......Jo.
