Carnival Cruises Answers

Was on the Legend last Ocober...I could not fault anything , the tips are only $10 pppd...its nothing.. Aslo when buying a drink in a normal bar would cost you a $1 a time, as is standard... We paid less than that, and did infact tip in $ again at the end....

Being an American ship, good tips are the norm for decent (rather than exceptional) service, they're very much a part of the wage structure rather than a bonus, one reason for the lower cruise ticket prices. ............ and with some US lines (dont know if this includes Carnival) the tips are shared amongst all "hotel" staff including bottle-washers, so (apart from any EXTRA tip that you might give) they go into the pot regardless of who you give them to.. ..........simpler to go with the flow & pay the auto-tip, give further cash for room service/anything particularly exceptional, & duck out of/reduce the auto-tip only if service is poor, pointing out the reason/s when you do so. .......... pay in advance as part of the cruise fare.....i haveyet to find a cruise ship where the crew dont deserve the service charge .......

You only get good service on Carnival so I wouldn't worry about it..............Wilba
