Unless the Orchestra operates a different policy from the rest of the MSC fleet, I have never had a 15%gratuity for bar service added - there has always been no charge. As for the automatic daily rate, i agree you can adjust this any way you want (up or down or remove it completely) through the Accounts desk any time during the cruise. they just get you to sign a form to say what you want the gratuity to be and your account is adjusted accordingl.

Per person, per day gratuities for adults are: 12 euros for Caribbean cruises and ocean voyages, and 6 euros for Mediterranean and Northern European sailings. Per person, per day gratuities for children are 50 percent less. These are automatically added to your onboard account, but you can adjust them at Reception at any point in the cruise. For bar service, there is an automatic 15 percent gratuity.

I am wondering just what formula you use to assess "this allowed us to tip only the people we thought deserved it. " Or is it something that you would rather keep to yourselves?.......Nei.

P&O and Cunard cruises have for a good while now offered extra on-board credit to serving or ex forces guests. Previously this just had to be added on request at time of booking (not on a Saver fare) and guests may on-board be asked for paperwork to prove their eligibility on-board or lose it (although my clients said that they never got asked ).No both P&O and Cunard have moved the goal posts and require people who book after the 1st March 2018 to be registered for a Defence Discoun...

Holly Crabtree's blog

Its seems Royal Caribbean have a bottomless pit of cash at the moment as they have just announced to spend another whopping $200 million in 2019. This isn’t to be spent on a brand new ship nor is it to be spent on a refit of a new ship. This money is to be spent on the re invention of Royal Caribbeans private Islands, revolutionising the biggest makeover of any land programme to date from one cruiseline.Coco Cay, formally known as little Stirrup Cay will be re invented to create what R...
