Effective January 2008, smoking is only permitted in designated areas and outdoors on the Starboard side of the ship (contact the Guest Relations Desk for details). Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theater, hallway or corridor. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom, however, it is permitted on private outdoor balconies of balcony staterooms. A $250 penalty will be applied to the SeaPass for guests found smoking in staterooms. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. A guest must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboar.

Hello again Now for the second part although I'm going to say virtually the same thing. Why don't you wait until you are on the ship, read what the orders are, then, if you must, smoke responsibly well away from others. Unless of course you are a non smoker and wish to find the more fragrant part of the ship. Heathe.

Hello Heather I am a smoker and very proud to be one I am also a very responsible person in every way and asked a simple question that I hoped someone could answer for me, I really dont think I warranted the sarcastic answer that you gave. Fortunately I have a balcony cabin so I will be able to smoke out on my balcony.

Hello My answer was not intended to be sarcastic and I am sorry if you felt that it was. It is just that I have yet to find many smokers who are considerate and even by saying that you will smoke on your balcony, where you obviously think that it will affect nobody, is a prime example that you are totally unaware of the effect of cigarette smoke and how invasive it is. I am not trying to be sarcastic now just explaining what people who do not smoke have to endure because when you smoke you are always totally unaware of it's action and that is fact. So if you could try to be more aware of the consequences of smoke many of us would be very grateful......Heathe.

Hi Heather in reply to your answer I will re-iterate what I said I am a very considerate person/smoker and I am well aware of the hazards of smoking around other people and to myself. However I accept your point of view. This subject is on the same level as religion and politics everyone has an opinion and everyone thinks they are right dont you agree. Juli.

Dear Julie thank you for the pleasant response. I think that the main trouble is that for so long non-smokers have had to like it or lump it and certainly in the past nobody ever considered them. Now with the tide turning, quite markedly, non smokers are realising that they do have a say and their point is being listened to, so they are pushing home the advantage. Thank you for your consideration....Heathe.

Hi. Rear facing cabins. Advantages/Disadvantages? Cabin (or should I say, stateroom) in question is 9404 Liberty of the Seas. On the deckplan it looks a bit bigger than other cabins of the same price range. Thanks.

The latest technology available in the near v=future on Royal Caribbean is facial recognition. the latest technology is already functioning on Allure of the seas and oasis of the seas and will be found on 13% of the fleet. So what does this mean?It means passengers can now check in really quickly thanks to their pre loaded photo, open their cabin doors without a keycard and a luggage tracker will monitor their bags and send them an alert once the luggage has arrived to the cabin. Is this a ste...

Picking up my Shanghai Blog from last year – you can read the last one hereAfter a great night in Suzhou, we were due to check out of the hotel to move on back to Shanghai. We went for breakfast in the hotel restaurant we found this to be much more traditional and didnt have the selection we were afforded at the hotel in Shanghai. There were pastries and there was what looked like an omelette station but much of the selection was very Asian based – we fueled up ready for our d...
