As this ship is out of Southampton they did not allow smoking in the Casino any night.... For a RCCL ship it was not crowded.... When we were on... I wonder why.....The only Inside places were the cigar bar Deck 5 and the top of the disco Deck 4. There were deck areas and your balcony only. I was intouch with Miami about these overcrowded bars and hopefully they have opened another one. When this ship is in US there are more bars open to smokers.and the casino. This and the price of drinks was the only draw back for most.....I thought it was wrong and I am a non smoker. The Balcony cabins are well laid out but take coffee with you for use in the cabin as only tea bags supplied.....hope it helps

We were on this ship for its first Med voyage last year. It was a complete shock to find such limited places where you could smoke as we had been on Navigator the previous year and found it very fair with smoking sections in most bars. The Labyrinth was overcrowded with smokers day and night, especially people who didn't have a balcony and the few nights coming through the Bay of Biscay when it wasn't really easy to smoke out on deck. The Cigar bar was completely without atmosphere and only used by people popping in and out of the main entertainment venue. The Casino seemed to be half empty most of the time. We complained furiously on the ship, to RCC UK and USA head office with the same bland answers about British preferences for no-smoking. They also said that IOS was advertised as a non-smoking ship. However most people on board didn't seem to know that before boarding so it really wasn't 'well advertised'. It will be interesting to hear the outcome of your complaint. We will never ever cruise with Royal Caribbean again which is a great pity because in every other respect the are very good but we will take our money elsewhere.

Yes you can smoke in the labyrinth and on deck by the pool and promenade deck Port side. You can also smoke on your balcony. I don’t know about the casino perhaps someone else will know. But all us smokers get together and have a chat smoking is a great icebreaker.
