This is being stopped by most cruise lines a bad fire last year on a ship was caused by a passenger throwing a used cigarette out from a balcony it blew back in lower down and caused a bad fire, so I think it unlikely most are now not allowing you to smoke in your cabin and more restrictions on other areas of the ship, but still limited place to smoke. Certainly cruising in the future for smokers is going to be a real problem.

Always had a balcony cabin and always been allowed to smoke. we always take our own tin/ come ashtray so that there is no chance of a fire just put the lid on and dispose of carefully.they have always been very good with smoking areas and have always had fun on the island escape (been on the ship 7 times). you will have a very good time.....
