The above comment is true, but not policed. My own experience of this ship is you cannot get away from the smoke, which I found very annoying on both of the cruises that I took on this shi.

You can smoke on the balconies on island star. you can also smoke on the starboard side of the ship (the right side) but that is only in the clubs or bars on the starboard side. there are plenty of places for non smokers and all the dining rooms are non smoking anyway so you should have no problems. enjoy your cruis.
