Q: Could someone tell me which cruiselines are still smoker friendly if any? I enjoy smoking and won't book a cruise if I'm not able to enjoy a cigarette for 2 weeks. THat would be my idea of hell. 30 answers

Hi again, It is a definate tat you can still smoke inside on the Island Escape. I have 2 emails, one from customer services and one from a manager from Island cruises stating this unequivocally. Enjoy your cruise and your smoke!

We are going on the Island Escape in June this year. You can still smoke on there in some of the bars. Hope you get to go on the cruise you want to.

Holland America are also still reasonably smoker friendly. Smoking allowed but not encouraged in cabins. Designated smoking areas in 1 or 2 indoor bars and everywhere on the outside decks.

Both Royal Caribbean and Princess permit smoking in certain areas on the ship, also on balcony, I am also a smoker and would rather give up cruising than give up smoking but hopefully it won't come to that Catherine

Hi We go with P&O , now on Auroro you can moke in a section of crows nest while enjoying a drink. Also outside buffet (ORANGERY) 1 side of ship you can sit on sundeck and have a ciggie with coffee and meal (stern of boat). If you have cabin with balcony you can smoke out there, eg) Oceana, Ventura... Oceana has smoking sides also. I took an inhaler with me so when wanted he early morning "fix" I was fine till could out. On auroro you could smoke in cabin (tho I couldnt cos of non smoking husband!! )..... DONT be put off this wonderful cruising life just cos of a fag mate!!!! Id just wear a patch, oor use inhaler , of course you can soke on excursions but NOT on coaches! Goodluck ;-) Nicky Westcountry

Hi Bobby, I cruised with Island Cruises on the Island Escape last October, I am also a smoker and was a bit wary as to where I would be able to have a cigarette, the cabins are a no smoking area, not sure about the balcony cabins though, you can smoke outside on deck 8 and on deck 10 at the pool area, there is a covered area and also on deck 11 it is open with a bar area! You can also smoke on deck 7 where The Pub is, it does tend to get a bit smokey but at least you can sit in comfort with a drink, also there are smoking areas on deck 8 at the back of the entertainment lounge! This was my first cruise so I don't know about the rest of the cruise companies smoking policies! Hope this helps! Margaret, Glasgow

Is it possible to uplift smokers and spear-throw them, head first, into the lapis blue waters of the ocean?

What an ignorant person you are. Tobacco is still legal and if people want to use it who are you to try and stop them. Patsy UK
