I want to try a cruise that leaves from the UK, will take a week, and has time to get off the ship and visit ports. Very good food on the ship also important to me. Any recommendations.

Older English clientelle - you would be much better off with RCI or NCL.

My wife allowed me to do a Fred Olsen cruise by myself for 14 nights on the Amazon itinerary. I was swamped by single, unattached ladies and after a few nights had no fear on the Piranha fishing tour. I did have some explaining when I got home, all the gifts in my suitcase.
