The Norwegian Jade and Jewel are Sister ships, so you are right in thinking that the facilities on board would be the same. Having launderettes/ironing facilities on board cruise ships is very much a British Cruise line thing. American ships such as the Norwegian Cruise line ships tend to favour the "hand it to your steward" type service, where your laundry gets added to your end of cruise bill! A list of how much each item costs to be laundered will be in your cabin. You can always take some washing liquid and a diy line, and do your smalls in your cabin if you wish! Happy cruising.

Some American cruise chips have launderettes. Princess Cruises have them, certainly on their larger ships.

Princess Cruises used to be owned and run by P&O before Carnival took them both over! Enough said? Happy cruising.

I have been told by several people that Jewel does have a launderette where you pay (or bring your own) for the powder but the machines are free. They are on 2 or 3 of the decks.

We are also going on the Jewel on 23/08/08. I'm sure I have read that there are a couple of launderettes.

I was on the Jewel two years ago and there was no launderette. But a very good and quite reasonably priced laundry - washing/ironing facility.
