Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by johnson (11 Oct 08 21:05)

There are several hotels near San Pedro Cruise Terminal and Long Beach Terminal but they all fill fairly easily and therefore charge a good rate. The best of these hotels are Crowne Plaza Los Angeles Harbor Hotel, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts: Hyatt Regency Long Beach, and Renaissance Hotel Long Beach there are more but they are dubious for quality or overpriced. (see Tripadvisor) You will have to pay for a taxi from the airport and the cost will be about $70/80 plus tip. The alternative is to stay in the (LAX) LA airport area and the best value for money there if you use a web site called onhotel is The LA Airport Westin. If, on arrival, you talk to the Concierge called Noe and ask him to get his friend, Lionel, who runs the VIP Platinum Limousine Company to pick you up the next day Lionel will take you to the Cruise Terminal for about $50/60 plus tip ($15/20). From the airport hotels it's an easy run to the coast and Manhattan or Redondo Beach areas for supper or if it's light a stroll or relax and stay in the hotel and get over the jet lag.... Neil .

I have already answered this question with very detailed information but the powers that be have decided that I put in an inappropriate word which I think may have been this one (see rosivdapirT backwards) I'm about to send it again minus that word. .... Neil.

No it wasn't that one and I see Wilba got away with it so I will try it again without the word on and hotel (joined together and after "the web site called") . ... Neil.

PART ONE point SEVEN FIVE: If, on arrival at the LA Airport Westin, you talk to the Concierge called Noe and ask him to get Lionel, who runs a limousine company to pick you up the next day Lionel will take you to the Cruise Terminal for about $50/60 plus tip ($15/20). This is not all of the message but I am determined to get the main gist of it on site. Goodness knows what the inapprpraite words or phrases were or are ...Here goes. ... Neil.
