The port shuttle bus drops you off near to the bottom of Las Ramblas near the Columbus monument. There is a tourist bus stop across the road. Alternatively you can walk up Las Ramblas from there.

The shuttle bus will drop you at the bottom of Las Ramblas and you can walk up there to Placa de Catalunya which is the big square at the top. The tourist bus that does the north circuit operates from there (outside El Corte Ingles dept. store) and takes in Gaudis famous church Sagrada Familia and also the Camp Nous football stadium. We did this trip and went upstairs on the bus to get the best views of the architecture...on our return to Placa de Catalunya we then walked down Las Ramblas passing the street performers and stalls on the way...back to the shuttle bus stop. I wouldn't waste your money on a ships tour. The tourist bus has a running commentary through headphones.

I’ve just come back form a cheeky three night mini cruise with the girls so I thought I would give you a sneaky peak at some of our best bits.We were a large party of twelve with a mixture of friends, some who had met through www.CRUISE.co.uk. Some of us are still here but others had moved on to pastures new, so it’s always nice to catch up with everybody to see what people have been up to and what’s new in their lives. Not everybody knew each other which was also nice as we all...

Two nights on Indy..

By Alison Ranaldi

Last week I spent two nights on the newly revamped Independence of the Seas.We sailed from Southampton in glorious sunshine to Le Havre and back. This was my third time on board this ever-popular ship and I was keen to see the changes to her after a big refit. We had a balcony cabin on deck 9 which had everything we needed for a comfortable break. I’m not generally a fan of mini-cruises. They offer an excellent way for someone like myself to see the ships but I do not think they are a g...
