Don't worry about the tenders (i did), it is usually their lifeboats that take you so it is extremely safe. In fact i got some wonderful pics from the tender boat.

Thanks very much for that- the people on this site are brilliant. Another question- are there any nice beaches near either of these ports ie Cannes and Genoa? We have 2 children who love to get on a beach! Any reccommendations or suggestions for best things to do at these destinations.

I've embarked and disembarked several times at Genoa and never had to tender. Don't know about Cannes as I've not been there ye.

Although it really depends on what type of cruise you are on.For instance, if you are sailing in one direction, North or West generally people pr...

My NON cruise holiday this Easter.

By Haydn Jones

Haydn Jones's blog

I’ve just come back from a family Easter holiday to Spain, surprisingly not on a cruise this time. My children are of the age where we have to go away during school holidays. We decided on Benalmadena, Spain as we have been before , its not too far, and the boys love it there. The weather was absolutely glorious, we were so lucky this time of year to have 10 days of boiling sunshine. Benalmdena is a town on southern Spain’s Costa del Sol, known for its beaches and the modern Pue...
