Did a similar trip last year using QM2 both ways. Cunard have no storage facilities nor does the Brooklyn Cruise terminal. Trailed our luggage around the USA on Amtrak for 17 days. Penn Station will Store luggage but you might have to have a valid train ticket.
This question is best directed at Cunard as you have so little time. Ring them quickly as there may be arrangements to make. Failing that speak to the Purser on board who should be able to make the necessary arrangements. ..... Nei.
I have no idea! I would imagine that there would be some left baggage facility in New York but I don't know for sure.
I suggest that you contact 1 Cunard and ask the question/
2 google the Brooklyn Port and search on their web site.
As you are returning on the QM2 I can't see that leaving some luggge on board would be a problem. Check with Cunard first though, they'll probably charge a fee! I'm checking in guests on QM2 on Monday, hope to see you.
We are also doing a simalar tour in July/August and we have found that our hotel in new york, where we are starting and ending our tour will store our excess baggage for $4.00 a day. There is no left luggage on the ship or at the terminal. Alternately there arre left luggage lockers at Penn station.
hope this helps.
Am certain that Cunard would offer this service - probably at a charge of around $50 per case. Suggest you email cunard from their website to enquire.
I know that P&O will ship your luggage out to Australia so that it is waiting for you in your cabin when you join the ship for the return half of the world cruise.
As you leave the terminal in new york, after going throught customs, there is a luggage drop off point where you leave and collect you unwanted luggage for the return journey. Unfortunatly I cannot remember the cost.
Ask your travel agent. You have paid him for a service.
Not on the ship for security reasons but there are around new york thousands of places that would store you r luggage including th ehotel you stay a.
I know from experience that QM2 will NOT store luggage on board, unlike QE2 which had this service available. We had to store ours at the hotel in NY at a small cost.
