Q: I am moving from Miami, Fl and going to Panama. I have a dog and a cat that cannot fly due to health problems. So one of the only options is going by boat (or driving there, but I have heard it is risky.) Is there a cruise that allows pets onboard?
Thank you

Could an option be to send your pets on a carrier by air separate to yourself. You could then make your own personal arrangements to go by sea.

I read it as the dog and cat that cannot fly due to health problems, but you could be right in your interpretation!

Notwithstanding Cruise Fairy's excellent response, the simple answer is - no, there is no cruise that will allow you to go from Miami to Panama with your pets. Driving is your only option (if, indeed, this is a serious inquiry).

The only cruiseline I know that permits pets to travel (in kennels, not with passengers) is Cunard on Transatlantic voyages. Why don't you call the Port of Miami and Port Everglades Customer Service numbers or email and ask if any container ships will let you book passage with pets. You can take two pets into the cabin of a plane with you, in a carrier, if they will fit under your seat. It's less than a 3 hr flight, as opposed to driving through Mexico and Central America- I have to ask ....are you serious?
