We used EXPLORER OF THE SEAS a couple of years ago and we had to use a credit card rather than our referred debit card!

I agree with Hook, same thing happened to us, best thing to do is nominate to pay with cash and then use the debit card to pay the total at the end.

You register with a credit card , you then can pay your bill with your debit card, I have cruised three times with RCI and have always paid with a debit card once home.

Yes, but tell your debit card bank before you go. They can take the block off your card to enable your card to be used wherever you are going. Enjoy your cruise.

Do not use cards bought from post office etc as they do not have your name on them and are not acceptable.

I use my debit card every time on royal carribean. As long as u have enough funds in it or they will stop the purchase of goods until u top up your funds.

We requested a cash account when boarding Navigator in Southampton and had no problem they did not ask for a cash retainer, we paid in American dollars in full at the end of the 1st and 2nd week only due to having a problem a few years ago when we settled our account and RCI took £25 from our credit card 2 weeks after departure which we did not owe and a quick phone call to them and it was refunded makes you think if they did this to a number of passengers would people notice !
