Please take heed of Fred Olsen's Requirments. On a recent cruise [with P&O to Brazil] a Yellow Fever Certificate was COMPULSORY .P&O made this clear in their brochure and pre cruise information. Some took advice from their GP who said that it was not necessary some just did not bother with the Vaccination others left the Certificate at home and a small minority had the vaccination too late, you are required tobe vaccinated 10days before travel. There were more than 40 would be passengers left behind and I imagine lost not only their holiday but also the cost.So please Check with Fred Olsen . well in advance of Travelling.

Africa is a massive continent, more than twice the size of Europe. If you are going to equatorial Africa you will certainly need several vaccinations and anti-malarials. When you decide which countries you will be visiting seek advice from your GP or a reputable travel clinic. It is much better than "informed" advice of other travellers. In some countries in Africa a yellow fever certificate is mandatory.
