This is the airline allowance but whats 2kgs amonst friends. Check to see as you are crusing the airlines do know passengers normally do take more clothes than a normal holiday and we still get away with 2 70ltrs and 1 60ltr cases. We check the weight before we go and normally they weigh in at 18kgs each so a total weight of 54kgs as against 46kgs.

We have been told that it is 23kgs as it is now a health and safety issue?

The bagguge handlers can move 30 kgs cases but it has long term issues with back complaints so the limit was lowered to 25 and now to 23kgs which is fair enough but it does give passengers who cruise a small headache but so far we have go round it by taking 3 cases with all 3 well under the 23kgs. Even if we had problems we would only have to pay the difference and accept that as life, not much anyone can do about it.

P&O staff on their helpline have advised that we cannot pay the extra it is 23kgs only. But I have forwarded an email to P&O and have had an acknolwedgement of receipt advising that they will respond to my questions soon. I will keep you posted.
