I have an excellent insurance from nat west and My 88 year old father in law got insurance through the cruise line (P&O)as over 65/70 years it gets more difficult to get insurance for any holiday. If you are an older passenger look at the cruise line insurance carefully they are usually tailored specifically for cruises and are therefore well worth using, at least as a benchmark against other insurances. Then you can go online or ring Saga/Age Concern. P&O use www.insuretocruise.com. With any insurance you should read the cover carefully and increase the insurance where it needs it i.e. jewellery and if you are going to the USA a minimum of £5 million medical expenses is needed. Be aware that you MUST tell any ins. company of any medical condition, past operation and medications to ensure you are covered. If you leave anything out it could invalidate the whole of your insurance so make sure you speak to the insurance company or broker, dont just buy anything on line. Hope this helps.

The Consumers Association (Which) have a report on travel insurnace and it looks as if you can read the main points without being a member. Go to www.which.co.uk and select Money then Insurance. I could tell you which ones they recommend but the policies depend upon what your age is. Another site to try is www.moneysupermarket.com but make sure they cover cruises as some don't. I don't somehow think you will get cover for being left in port though. Just make sure your other half doesn't change the time on your watch! If you have personal possessions on your home insurance this may cover you for your jewels but you would have to check your policy for this.

Love him or hate him, Stephen Mulhern, yes that guy who does the after show on Britains Got Talent and showbiz friend of Ant & Dec has been signed up by P&O with Jonathan Wilkes (that’s Robbie Williams’ friend) to create and produce new shows for the cruise line. The theme of the show is being kept close to their chests at the moment but apparently it is going to be a 45 minute spectacular. P&O are bigging up this new appointment stating that the show will be amazing a...
