GIBSON - Answered a Question by BURTON (15 Nov 08 18:23)

I would imagine if a nuro virus was on board the ship would be quarantined many miles from land i think you mean the novovirus, and no you can't use that to cancel click on this link below for more info http://www.socruise.com/cruise-news/2008/6/ventura-hit-by-novovirus/ .

Aldrich - Answered a Question by BURTON (16 Nov 08 10:40)

No you cannot cancel if there is Noro on board - Noro comes and goes within 2-3 days, they quatentine those with it, sanitise and bleach every thing in sight and then the ship is good to go again. Noro appears everywhere, hotels, holiday camps - it is not solely linked to cruise ships. And given the short life span of this I think it would be more hastle and trouble if they told you about it, so another No to part 2 of your question.

Hi, just got off Arcadia which as you know has just had an outbreak of Norovirus, it must be awful for the people affected but it didnt make any difference to us. Be vigilant and use the hand sanitizers which are readily available and thoughly wash your hands with soap and water often. The captain kept us informed on the progress of the infection and he referred to 'low numbers' (whatever that means!) and the crew stepped up the cleaning. Best wishes Carol Guy.

Just keep at all times an anticeptic spray or gel handy and constantley use especially points where everyone touches objects that you will touch. Hand rails on stairwells especially. Keep to your rules of cleanliness and I hope your cruise is free of bug outbrakes.

Eggleton - Answered a Question by BURTON (19 Nov 08 23:49)

I don't know the answer to this, but I was on The brilliance of the Seas & Carnival's new Slendor this year & was surprised not to see any sanitisers anywhere on the ships. When I enquired I was told that none had been delivered to the ships. Surprising & unsettling.

Hall - Answered a Question by BURTON (11 Mar 12 08:41)

We will be taking our 4th cruise on independence of the seas in May, will the restrictions i.e. closure of Johnny Rockets/no self service etc, still be in place ?? we know precautions have to be in place, but surely this takes away the whole reason for choosing this cruise ship. Please dont get me wrong, health comes first, its just a question.

Royal Caribbean. Something for...

By Dean Michaelides

Every single year its seems like more and more ships are being released. 3-6 star 300 passengers to 6000 passengers there are hundreds of cruises out there now. My question is can anyone beat Royal Caribbean and do they have a ship for every one?I recently had a training with a Royal Caribbean rep and she advised there aim would be for cruise customers never to look elsewhere when it comes to cruising. A bit like Dubai for Holidays. There idea it to have such a wide range within there fleet f...
