Apart from being a US type socket the power on the ship is also 115 volts so your dryer needs to be suitable for the lower voltage. My partner has quite long and thick hair and she found the dryer in the bathroom was nothing special (fairly basic hang off the wall type with a flexible hose) but did the job.
