Sea Princess has 3 pin british sockets in cabins though only 1 so take a small extension lead if you are taking lots. It has not been converted to american - it was converted FROM american when it first went to P&O. when it returned to princess they have aimed it at the british market and kept the sockets !

I switched from P & O when their food standards went downhill. The Americans are more fussy than brits and expect certain things as standard IE. every night there is sirloin steak, prawns(huge), new york cheescake etc.available AS WELL AS THE MOST GORGEOUS FISH AND MEAT YOU HAVE EVER HAD. The food on Sea Princess is the best (unless the chef has changed since April)You will get whole lobster tails not bits of lobster in a shell with sauce like on P & O. Sea princess used to be Adonia so you will find it familiar but there is no queuing for the captains cocktail party it is held in the atrium. Little things mean a lot. I am Sapphire tier on P&O but Elite (top tier)on Princess. I have been on Star and Grand but Sea is my favorite. Say Hello to Becky from grenada for me who is in charge of the champagne bar. Wish I was going too but I have got to visit my daughter who is principle singer on Ocean Village!! Its a hard life.

Thanks a lot for that info.We have been on Sea Princess when it was Adonia but didnt know if it has changed much since it is Princess line. I think one comment I have read somewhere says there are no tea making facilities in cabins whereas of course all P and O cabins have them. I really appreciate your comments as i keep thinking as we have been with P and O for the last 6 years and have always loved cruising with them have I made a mistake changing to Princess, but think your comments reassure me we should be fine. Just want to ask your thoughts on tipping as i believe it is deducted in dollars everyday from your cabin account something of which we are not used to.Only 7 days left before we go and counting!!

By Trevor Smith

Last month Princess Cruises announced its summer European plans for the upcoming 2018 season. The cruise line will have 5 ships based in European waters for the 2018 season. The major change is that the Sapphire Princess will be comimg over from the Far East to Europe for the first time, I think this is to make way for the new Majestic Princess that will be in Asia from May next year. With 57 unique itineraries, visiting 35 countries in Europe this opens open a few more new options for Princess...

Adonia returns to the P&O fleet

By Rosie Taylor

Rosie Taylor's blog

The P&O Adonia left the P&O fleet in 2015 year and headed to Cuba on a new venture and was re named Fathom. The idea was to introduce volunteer tourism to cruising which involved helping communities in the Dominican Republic and Cuba. The would help build water filters and teach English to the locals.P&O loyal customer will be very glad to hear that the smallest ship is coming back to Southampton in summer 2017. The ship only has a 710 passenger capacity and is adult only making i...

Several 6 star cruise liners are introducing brand new ships, so are we all mega rich or is there a gap in the market…..Looks like the cruising world is the most heavily invested market in the travel industry and is set to continue. There is currently a TV documentary on Channel 5 , showing the building of Regent Seven Seas Explorer. The first programme begins with chief executive Frank Del Rio outlining his vision for the luxury vessel and joins him in a personal quest to acquire 5 mi...
