Burnett is right- when last on Thomson (2008) the policy was okay to use their beach towels ashore, they are usually adequate but return them to your cabin for steward to exchange for fresh ones. We've never seen anyone think of taking white towels- that's not fair! You'll really love the Caribbean- try snorkelling, but consider buying gear locally due to weight restrictions.
You are given yellow towels in your cabin for swimming in the ship's pools. They are changed daily if you use them. It is possible to take them ashore, but you will be charged if you lose them. Why not buy a new one locally?
Hi we will probably be on The Destiny same time as you ..look out for me Hazel ,,,
You are not allowed to take towels on the beach ( but most people do !) I would take one of your own as well though!!
We Have just retured and had a fantastic time, we packed 6 beach towels and never used one of them. Everyone on the ship took the free pool towels to the beach and this are changes each day for you. Hope you have a great time the beaches at Antigua and Barbados were fabulous.
I agree with you, when on the beach, you could spot thomsons for their bright orange towels. I must admit to being a bit surprised about this as it is a practise that is normally frowned upon, but it was perfectly acceptable on Destiny, irrespective of how many mohitas had been consumed the previous night.
