You won't need transport for this one! Watch the surprise half way up when the train stops, you can get off and observe, it's a nice touch. Wouldn't fancy the job myself!!!

Just walk off the ship and up the pier to the station, 200 yards? Certainly not far. Enjoy, it is lovely. I think they did oap rates as well.

As with the other commennts it is not far to the railway, but i would recommend pre-booking tickets fot the railway journey. My family and i were there in july 08 on the grand princess and missed put for not doing so!.you can buy tickets from the station itself but it can get packed with coach tour parties which leaves you with limited availability and train times. hope this helps .

Try this link http://www.flaamsbana.no/eng/Index.html for more information on the railway, plus there is a webcam which shows how far the station is from the cruise berth.

Royal Princess

By Emily Watts

Emily Watts's blog

Last week I was lucky enough to experience Royal Princess which was also my first time on a Princess ship. It was everything I expected and more. as soon as we got on board I was impressed with the decor and the grandness, it really is a beautiful ship. Our cabin was located on Baja deck B215 which had a balcony and for two sharing it is very spacious. Princess prides themselves on the beds and it was probably one of the most comfortable ones I have ever slept on. After embarkation, we...
