Hi, I have recently returned from a Thomson cruise on the Emerald, Greek Isles 1st week, Venice, Croatia etc 2nd week. No problem taking sterling or euros. You can always exchange for local currency on board. You will have a fantastic time on the Destiny. A much better ship than the Emerald.

For most of this trip Euros will be fine, even in Morocco they will take them. You can wash a few things in the wash hand basin, hang them over the shower rail. The air conditioning in the cabin tries all but the heaviest items overnight.

I have just returned from this cruise itinery aboard the Thomson Celebration. All of the countries you visit accept the Euro and some also accept Sterling. There are free laundries on board with tumble driers and ironing facilities although undies will dry overnight if you hang them on one of the rails in the showe.

You will need a mixture of sterling and Euros. Serling for onboard and can be used in Morrocco elsewhere Euros. You can was your own underwear in the cabin and hang it in the shower it dries quickly. The Destiny is a fab ship I have just got back from the same itinerary great but be careful in Morrocco.

You dont need cash on board as it is all swipe card, they change £s on board for when you go ashore. i only took £20 sterling with me and that was plenty. hope that is of help. as for washing facilities im not sur sorry i didnt find anything about it in the itinerary. paula wirra.

Well I hope you have better luck than we did on the Destiny last year. Our cruise went to the Canaries and nearly the whole time there was trouble with the toilets. For a couple of days we could only use toilets in certain areas of the ship. It was a nightmare - in my opinion the ship should not have sailed at all if it had such a matter of hygiene. We did not think the Destiny compared favourably with the Emerald and the Spirit. Good luc.

As first time cruisers going on Thomson Destiny 30th Aug, any hints/tips for the excursions, is it easy to do your own or better to go with organised ones? What is the dress code for evening meals, shirt and tie ok.

Yes on the Destiny there is a Launderette, sorry thought our experience was far from good and we never ever go on the Destiny again, we will let you see for yourself and then you can perhaps have a better idea and it might be better than our trip last year that is!
