Hi Torr, bring a few dressy items (not dinner jacket and long dress but just more than casual). I found the food in the Island restaurant so boring, repetitive, lacking in either quality or taste that I had no alternative but to book the Oasis for the second week. Food was marginally better and the atmosphere was much more conducive to a relaxed evening meal.

Smart casual wear seems to be the norm on the Escape in the evening, during the day anything goes. During my cruise I never saw anybody wearing dinner suits, in fact this ship is so laid back prepare yourselves to see plenty of belly as quite a few passengers wear just shorts and flip flops most of the time, even in the resturants.....But I had a fantastic time and although the ship is a little shabby I couldnt fault the facilities on board. They may do a bit of updating when its time to hand over the ship to thomsons.
