Hi just read your question, we were on the Emerald a couple of years ago and someone was married so maybe the company now have a licence, certainly worth enquiring. We too are on the Destiny Christmas week so look forward to seeing a bride!
Hi Di, thanks for your comment back, but its now november 23 and have tried but unable to get married on th destany...we might wait now.... have you been on the destany before ? I have read some horrible reviews stating they have had a terrible time The the christmas cruise (no crackers ect) oh well as long as there is alcohol should not be a problem haha.
Thomson cruises do not have a licence to perform weddings- if you are interested in a wedding at sea go to theweddingexperience.com which guides you through the experience.
Hi, sorry to hear you can't get married on board ship I was looking forward to throwing a bit of confetti. Nope not been on the Destiny and I too was getting a bit worried but quite honestly we can't do anything until we see for ourselves unless you want to cancel which seems a bit drastic. We were on the Emerald for 2 weeks in 2006 and although it was definitely in need of some refurbishment we had a really good time, same goes for the 2 weeks on the Calypso in 2007. I get the impression that some people expect Cunard facilities for Thomson prices. Roll on the 21st I'm sure it will be great.
Hi there, thanks for your reply.... we cant wait its our first time on a cruise..and we will make the most of having a good time... we fly from newcastle at 10am on 21st where do you fly from are you cruising first week and then staying the second we are in the barcello....
