Hi just read your question, we were on the Emerald a couple of years ago and someone was married so maybe the company now have a licence, certainly worth enquiring. We too are on the Destiny Christmas week so look forward to seeing a bride!

Thomson cruises do not have a licence to perform weddings- if you are interested in a wedding at sea go to theweddingexperience.com which guides you through the experience.

Hi, sorry to hear you can't get married on board ship I was looking forward to throwing a bit of confetti. Nope not been on the Destiny and I too was getting a bit worried but quite honestly we can't do anything until we see for ourselves unless you want to cancel which seems a bit drastic. We were on the Emerald for 2 weeks in 2006 and although it was definitely in need of some refurbishment we had a really good time, same goes for the 2 weeks on the Calypso in 2007. I get the impression that some people expect Cunard facilities for Thomson prices. Roll on the 21st I'm sure it will be great.

By Charlene Thackeray

My name is Charlie and I have just been on Allure of the Seas. I have been on 3 other cruises before but this was my favourite. Mummy woke me up really early because we had to get a flight from Edinburgh and then we needed to get on a different plane in London. I watched 4 kids films on the flight. Miami airport was so boring it took us 2 hours to get out. We stayed in Fort Lauderdale for a night and got on the cruise ship the next day. We checked in but had to wait about 30mins before we co...
