My husband is diabetic and we use Frio bags for his insulin, no need for a fridge. A friend took theirs on safari in Africa! Just soak bag in water (any water even a river) and place insulin inside. See their website: www.frio.co.uk.

On their website under cabin description they only mention the deluxe cabins and suites as having a mini bar., so I'm p[resuming they don't. That's not to say that the won't provide one (and a sharps bin) if you ask them. Cruise Lines are generally very co-operative when it comes to organising things that you need for medical reasons. Call or email them. Hopefully they will be able to assist you.

I was in the same situation both in January on Thomson Destiny & again in June on Thomson Spirit - no fridges in cabin, but staff on reception stored my insulin in their fridge until I required it. For daily use, cabin steward provided tub of ice twice a day to allow me to store syringe. Could not have been more helpful.

Hi, Insulin is quite safe to use for up to 6 weeks without being in a fridge.

Her Majesty and I have more in...

I love smaller ships, I don’t need a choice of 14 restaurants, multiple bars and lounges, rock climbing walls and ice-skating rinks, if anything it is too much choice and I find you end up flitting from bar to bar all evening, not settling in one place. Give me a Fred Olsen ship with one bar, one lounge and one theatre and I have all I need thank you very much.A couple of years ago I had the chance to visit the Hebridean Princess, the little ship that has been chartered by her Majesty f...

By Paul Craggs

Paul Craggs's blog

Now its a general fact that us Brits do not like to tip as much as our American cousins and when it comes to tipping its a bit of a mine field so I thought I would explain as much as I can When it comes to tipping its a general rule of thumb that on most ships its not actually compulsory there are ways round it and im about to details them out To get a bit of clarification it was only actually Norwegian that were compulsory and now they are all inclusive anyways so I guess it ...
