Hi we are doing this itinerary on the 11th Dec. Las Palmas has a City Sightseeing HOHO bus. The same in Funchal Madeira. Also Funchal has a Yellow HOHO bus and if you use that one the ticket is valid on the local buses. Santa Cruz is so small we were just going to relax around town. The only 2 places we are definitely doing a ship's excursion is Agadir, (this was recmmended by cruisers from last year). Also we want to do the one in Arrecife that goes up the Fire Mountain. Berwyn

There are lots of us who have cruised on the Escape before and there are many positive reviews on here. We were in the same position as you in April last year and now are hooked. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need more info. Also if you go to cruisecritic.com and go to the Island cruises forum Berwyn

PS on cruisecritic my name is Cymro1953. The Escape is an old ship (1982) like the other Thomson's ships. But the crew are fantastic and so is the food. Also the bed is really comfy and you don't spend much time in the cabin, too busy having fun Berwyn
