Q: Last year I had an excellent cruise on Seabourn between Venice to Athens. The sail away from Venice was fantastic and every port visited scenic and well chosen. Some people were staying on for the Venice to Istanbul leg.

This year considering the Athens to Istanbul leg myself, however there is very little information or reviews made on this route. Has anybody done this cruise or views on how it compares to the Venice part.

We did this route on the Odyssey last year at the end of August. The highlight is undoubtedly the evening concert at Ephesus (the Seabourn complimentary excursion) which I think they are still doing. We also went to Patmos, Mykonos, Rhodes and a couple of other small Greek islands. We had a couple of nights pre cruise in Istanbul which was good because we had never been there before and a couple of nights in Athens post cruise. It all came as a travel agent's package so it was pretty stress free.
