Stanley Market Hong Kong is famous for silks, both by the yard or made up clothing. In Thailand, Pattaya has many, many tailors who will sell you silk or make up fashions for Ladies or Gents. Myself & the wife have had numerous items made up in Pattaya, shirts, blouses suits, slacks, fabulous quality at prices 25% of UK. The famous street for shops such as this & everything else is called Walking Street (google it) & most are open till about midnight....Wilba.

Thanks once again Wilba, I will be taking several of your printed replies with me. Walking Street looks interesting - a bit like Patpong in Bangkok - will visit there (although I may have to put blinkers on my husband!) and Stanley Market in a quest for silk. Cheers.

A mini cruise to remember..

I’ve just come back form a cheeky three night mini cruise with the girls so I thought I would give you a sneaky peak at some of our best bits.We were a large party of twelve with a mixture of friends, some who had met through www.CRUISE.co.uk. Some of us are still here but others had moved on to pastures new, so it’s always nice to catch up with everybody to see what people have been up to and what’s new in their lives. Not everybody knew each other which was also nice as we all...

Two nights on Indy..

By Alison Ranaldi

Alison Ranaldi's blog

Last week I spent two nights on the newly revamped Independence of the Seas.We sailed from Southampton in glorious sunshine to Le Havre and back. This was my third time on board this ever-popular ship and I was keen to see the changes to her after a big refit. We had a balcony cabin on deck 9 which had everything we needed for a comfortable break. I’m not generally a fan of mini-cruises. They offer an excellent way for someone like myself to see the ships but I do not think they are a g...
