We went on it a year ago and thought it looked 'tired'. Only entered service in July 2002. Must have had lots of wear and tear.
It only started cruising in 2002 so farily new, it is 90,000 tons and with 12 decks and one of the highest for having wheelchair accessable cabins with 24. It is regared as the second generation of RCI ships which will allow longer cruises with bigger cabins, lounges and more place to eat, so sounds quite a nice ship.
I've just looked at the reveiw section & most are still giving 4 & 5 star ratings. Brilliance is a beautiful ship & as with any vox pop opinions will differ, but 'go with the majority' is my rule of thumb. I would not give it a second thought & would be very happy to cruise her again. Regards.
Don't know what you have been reading, I would suggest that you change your information source. Brilliance is fine and part of the best designed range of cruise ships ever. They are so happy with that design that the next series will be like that but bigger. ... Neil.
We sailed on Brilliance for 12 nights only 6 weeks ago...she is BEAUTIFUL. The size, design, decor, crew, in fact everything .... is just great.
