Hey.have a great time....the Voyager is lovely. We did the Med on her Sept 2006,no matter where you are on the ship if you have noisey neighboughs then your unlucky........except ofcourse if your above the Promenade and your light sleepers. There's always some noise around as there are alot of people who come out at night like bats.......but mostly the noise isnt too loud to bother you.

Have been in cabins on decks 6 and 7 on Mariner and Navigator (all similar ships)in the forward section. I prefer it this end as it is near to the lifts and the Schooner bar. Yes it is quiet, no problems with noise. Long walk to Dining room but enjoy the amble through the royal promenade on the way to evening meal.

We have just rturned from this cruise, also our first, and heard no noise whatsoever in the cabin. (we were in deck 6 also forward) Maybe we were just lucky to have quiet neighbours! Voyager is indeed a lovely ship and we found the food and service excellent. We did our own tours (as did many others we met on the local trains!) as we thought the arranged ones were quite expensive. If you are prepared to do a bit of research in advance, it's perfectly possible to visit the main stops on your own. Have agreat time ande enjoy! I am already searching for our next trip!
