Wilba - Answered a Question by parkinson (18 Aug 08 06:34)

It's been asked & answered so many times, let the credit card company do it, never the cruise company, whoever they are.

If you had typed credit card into the search box you would see how many times it's been asked recently. Guess what? It even gives the answers as well!

I think what my knowledgable friend Wilba is trying to convey, is that there is a simple search mechanism at the top of this page where you can seach to see if you question has been answered before, and if you even scroll back 2 pages you will see that this was covered in depth very recently. Unfortunately this is a very basic site, with basic functionality, unlike others, where if you answer a question it automatically goes to the top of the list, so it is much easier to see the Frequently asked questions.

Neil Down - replied to parkinson (18 Aug 08 15:19)

The questions are answered in the main by a smallish group of people. We have answered this question so many times so what we are all waiting for is the question that makes us think, like "do the crew sleep on board", "Why won't my mobile work out at sea", "do you have disabled cabins", "Is it possible NOT to wear a Dinner Suit" and "how much are you allowed per person" these and many like them are really soul-searching questions which have had us fooled in the past .... So don’t criticise us Mr or Mrs Parkinson ... Stretch us and we’ll appreciate you even more than we do now. ...Neil.

Who do you think you are, this site is not for you and you alone, if my question did not challenge you enough then leave it alone and let people answer who want to without sarcasim, i am not interested whether you appreciate me or not, the question was something which was a concern to me so i asked the question simple as that.

You are trying to stave off all the joy I get from this site and I will keep answering no matter how much you try to dissuade me. I am now going off to the corner to sulk..... a very disconsolate Neil. Boo Hoo.

Dear Mr Parkinson I have every sympathy with your response - methinks that messrs Wilba, Aldrich and Down have got a bit too big for their boots. It is probably just a case of "self appointed expert syndrome" which causes people to look down their noses, forget basic manners and sneer. Just ignore them ... most of us do when they get haughty.

Brits and Tips.

By Sam Smith

We Brits as a nation have always been somewhat uncomfortable with the whole tipping scenario. Ok, in a restaurant environment maybe, but when was the last time you found yourself handing over extra cash to the nice lady on the checkout in Sainsburys or the very nice man who changed your car tyres in Kiwk Fit? Were they not all just doing their jobs, albeit well? This poses the question as to why we have to either pre-pay what can amount to noticeable sums of money when booking a cruise, or hav...

Symphony of the Seasmy trip...

Abbi Varela's blog

So as I said last time I loved Royal Caribbean’s latest ship Symphony of the Seas.. I wasn’t too sure beforehand if she was going to be just too big, but I can safely say although without doubt a huge ship Symphony doesn’t feel too big once you’re on board. In fact all the different neighbourhood’s and places on board are fantastic, so much choice. I often talk to my customers who are new to cruising and they worry that they will feel enclosed and trapped, with ...

Cruise lines start returning t...

By Richard Smith

Richard Smith's blog

Many cruise lines stopped visiting Turkey itineraries after the military coup attempt in July of 2016 due to security concerns and Turkish calls on cruise itineraries are certainly a lot less common than they used to be.It seems that some cruise companies are now starting to re-introduce some Turkish ports of call with the majority now calling at Ephesus (Kusadasi) after security experts have given the all-clear.There still seems to be a massive drop in Turkish cruise destinations compared to...
