O'h you'll love RCI ships, I went last year on the Ledgend for a 5 day break and we were thoroughly spoilt. I liked the fact that no matter what the weather you could still swim etc. Be warned though all ships do not have this type of luxury so be prepared to pay for what you get. We are going again in May 08 in the RCI maiden cruise on the Independance, cant wait. Have a fab trip. If you need more help contact me on

From Stan Dixon Wymondham, Norwich. We cruised round the Baltic onthe Navigator 5 Jun 07 and overall enjoyed almost everything. The decor of the ship was quite stunning and our balcony suite on deck 7 was out of this world in comfort. Some comments:- 1. We only used the Windjammer restaurant a couple of times as mostly the breakfast rush and jostling was really awfuland always crowded. How can this one "public" eating place cope with about 2000 people all frantically trying to get to the many outlets. At breakfast I likened it to the annual migration of the thousands of Wildebeests in Kenya but in reverse order!! Never again. Thank goodness we settled for nearly all our meals in the fabulous desigated restaurants with waiter service and excellent food which couldn't be faulted. For us we are not keen on big ships - back to Fred Olsen next time 2.If you can't stand the screaming vocalists in the shows suggest you take earplugs. Why do these so-called singers have to scream their inarticulate heads off at 5000 decibels. Apart from that the dancers and shows in general were also fabulous .

RCI DO NOT, REPEAT NOT, heat their swimming pools. Can't believe it in this day and age. P&O Certainly do as do the Princess Lines. It will be my last cruise on RCI this year, went on Legend of the Seas, and froze in their pool - didn't ask the question in time for the Navigator unfortunatel, and we go in August. They empty their pools every night and take in the water they are cruising on every a.m. COLD AROUND SWEDEN? I think so.

My wife and I did our first ever cruise in June on the Navigator to the Baltics, I have never had such an enjoyable holiday, one down side is there is not enough seating after evening meal or show if you just want a quiet drink. The food was fantastic and the crew even better. Enjoyed it so much have tried to get on the med cruise late September but fully booked, shame.

Have been cruising for a number of years, returned from the Navigator in June-1st time aboard an RCI ship and there is no comparison to others, everything is tremendous!!The difference that we found was the relaxed atmosphere even on formal nights , which can be a bit daunting for the 1st time cruiser,go onboard, enjoy and trust me you will be back for more!!

We are also on this cruise. We have been on cruises before although with different companies - Cunard and Ocean Village. I am sure you'll have lots of fun we certainly intend to. Cruising is like staying in a really nice hotel. Just take lots of clothes including DJ and smart clothes. Some will dress up and some won't but our previous experience has shown that you'll feel more comfortable if you dress up. My husband didnt take a DJ on Cunard and wished he had. See you onboard.
